May 11, 2017

“Over $150,000 is being awarded to fund projects to be undertaken in our communities. All made possible because of the generosity of our donors!”

Is your favorite charity one of the 19 local charities receiving a grant? See the list below to find out!

Developing Community is at the core of our Foundation, and this grants round we are pleased to be funding seven projects in our Community Development field of interest, and several others also fit this definition.

What is Community Development?

The United Nations defines community development as “a process where community members come together to take collective action and generate solutions to common problems.”

It is our belief that we are all stronger together and through our Community Grants we encourage collaboration, skills building and awareness-raising to act on this belief.  This has always been one of our fields of interest and is so important to what we do and what makes our community strong.
