Call for Volunteer ~ Governance Committee

We are looking for a member of the community to join our Governance Committee.

Good governance ensures that the Community Foundation for Kingston & Area will continue to be widely respected for its philanthropy in the communities it serves.

Do you have skills and experience in governance work with charities and/or non-profit organizations?

Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Bylaw oversight;
  • CRA / Charities regulations;
  • Policy work; and,
  • Strategic leadership, board education and orientation.

By serving on this committee, you will support the overall mandate of the Foundation and assist the Board in fulfilling its fiduciary responsibilities and establishing its future strategic direction.

The committee meets for 1.5 hours 6 times per year.

We’re looking for an initial commitment of one year.
